I am pleased to endorse Steve Miller for the Daytona Beach City Commission. I was a lawyer in Daytona Beach for many years, actively involved in political and community matters, and I served on the Volusia County Council.

Steve Miller and I have been friends for over 30 years. He is a man of energy, vision, and character. He loves Daytona Beach and the people who live there. Steve is honest and dependable. Whether you agree with everything he says or not, you always know where he stands. And unlike other politicians, Steve Miller does what he says he will do. He will fight hard for the people of Daytona Beach, undeterred by the pressures of office or the desire to curry favor with others. The qualities that make him a loyal friend will make him an outstanding city commissioner.

I speak from experience, having worked closely with Steve Miller when he was on the Daytona Beach City Commission years ago. Steve Miller was one of the most effective public servants ever elected in Daytona Beach. He showed the sound judgment Daytona Beach needs. Steve worked hard on projects to advance the city as a whole, while making sure that the residents of his zone benefited. Steve Miller earned the respect of all those who worked with him.

Even after leaving office, Steve Miller never stopped serving Daytona Beach. He stayed connected to the people, the issues, and the challenges the city faces. He understands where Daytona Beach has been, where it is today, and what we need to do to build a stronger future.

Daytona Beach needs experienced leadership, steady judgment, and someone who genuinely cares about the people he serves. Steve possesses those qualities. I have every confidence that he will continue to serve with the same integrity, commitment, and dedication that have defined his life and community service.
